These are colors that I come back to over and over in my work. The black represents the dark times in my life of sadness and depression, the red is the passionate anger that I had to come to in order to overcome my desire to withdraw and fight though those difficult times and the gold is the beauty that one can find in all those kids of dark situations. This incarnation of this content was created on eight canvases that I had painted while learning to paint. I could discard them and decided to remake them.
