Part of my textured swirl series that was created with the poem hurricane in mind. The yen and yang of the opposing colors and the sinuous curves of the swirling lines draws the viewer into the stormy center. The silver leaf on the tips of the lines highlight this movement. Though appearing simple in its form, the details of the paint and the tactile nature of the texture pulls you in.
