The deep, concentrated colors reflect the opulence of a different time and the 18k gold accents compounded that idea. Part of the "reworked" series, the texture was laid down years ago, but now I am more skilled with the paint application. Using the existing colors, I glazed the darker and lighter values and added a few varieties of analogous paint to give it a more complex color strategy.
